Amanda has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 15 years, and a Licensed Acupuncturist for a handful of years. While studying physiology at Michigan Sate
University, she was drawn to study acupuncture and East Asian Medicine to gain a deeper understanding of her own health challenges. She moved to Portland from her
small home town on Lake Michigan, and graduated with a Master’s degree in 2020 from National University of Natural Medicine.

Amanda specializes in subtle Japanese bodywork and acupuncture that focus directly
on nervous system healing and repair. She also utilizes non-insertive metal Japanese tools, as well as moxibustion, to stimulate acupuncture points, channels, and to calm the nervous system. What more emergent forms of medicine are finding is that nervous system taxation is the root of many causes of disease. Amanda’s treatment style is
eclectic, tailored to the needs of the individual, and perfect for individuals who may be
sensitive to needles.
